The US Senate on Wednesday passed the temporary federal government budget bill hours before the deadline, and sent the plan to the House of Representatives.
This bill passed in the Senate with 78 votes in favor, 20 votes against. The Republicans also adopted an amendment banning US President Barack Obama from lifting any sanctions from Iran’s nuclear program through the course of this bill, meaning until the end of December 2015.
