Russia calls off sale of ‘S-300’ missiles to the Iranian regime and returned its $167 million front payment. Based on an agreement signed between the Tehran’s Mullahs and Russia in late 2007, Russia was scheduled to hand over 5 S-300 missile defense systems to the Iranian regime. Russia announced UN Security Council sanctions against Iran as basis for the cancelation of the sale.
