The state-run Shargh newspaper published an article warning Ahmadinejad: “Some time ago… the president told his criticizers ‘the people will set aside their opponents in less than two seconds’… However, it should be taken into consideration that the people do not act based on emotions. They have much patience and tolerance, and whenever the time comes they will rise on their own and trample the traitors.”
