Residents of quake stricken town near Iran-Iraq border stage protest lack of aid

INTV, 26 Nov 2013 – On Monday night at around 10 pm, nearly 3,000 people of the earthquake stricken town of Ghasr Shirin near the Iran-Iraq border, staged a rally protesting the lack of tents and basic necessities they need after the recent earthquake ruined their lives. They held the mullahs’ regime responsible for these conditions. This protest rally continued on Tuesday morning.
In other news, on Monday night a group of residents of the town of Sarpol Zahab, east of Ghasr Shirin, staged a rally outside the regime’s Red Crescent office in this town. The protesters are currently living in the town’s parks and other public areas, and due to the severe cold they are facing serious problems and lacking any tents and heating appliances.
