The metal bazaar retailers in continued their strike on Sunday, July 18th, and according to reports received from Iran’s capital most retailers have closed their stores, protesting the regime’s tax extortions. This strike began Sunday of last week.
Sanandaj:
Workers of the Kulheim Company in this western Iran city once again held a rally protesting the large number of expulsions of this company’s workers. The protesting workers said Iranian regime officials are intending to lay off more than 600 workers in the next month under the pretext of the Dariyan Dam project coming to an end. It is worth noting that last Saturday, July 12th, a group of workers in this company held a gathering protesting the expulsion of 50 drivers from this company.
Bandar Abbas:
Youths in the southern Iran city of Bandar Abbas clashed with repressive regime police who tried to prevent them from having a good time. The regime agents intended to create a climate of fear to disperse the youths by shooting bird shots. However, the youths were brave and resisted their repressive measures.
Tehran:
A group of retired workers in Tehran rallied outside the province’s retired workers organization on Thursday, July 16th. These retired workers were protesting their decreasing pensions in the current year. It is worth noting the Iranian regime has refused to even pay 50% of these workers’ pensions.
Tehran:
People in the capital’s Punak region clashed with repressive Bassij agents on Saturday, July 18th. This scuffle began when Bassij agents intended to harass a number of ladies under the bogus pretext of improper hijab. One of these ladies protested to the Bassij agents and this led to clashes between people and the regime’s agents, forcing them out of the area.
