For the third consecutive day more than 2000 students at Tehran University dormitory (Kouye Daneshgah) held anti-government demonstration on Sunday, and while chanting the slogan “death to despotism”, clashed with the suppressive State Security Forces (SSF) and threw Molotov cocktails at them.
In their barbaric raids on the students, the Special Guard suppressive agents who had surrounded the whole area shot to the air, destroyed the dormitories No, 1 and 2 completely, injured 60 students severely and arrested more than 40. However, the students announced that as long as their demands were not met they would expand their protest like July 9th uprising of 1999.
According to received reports from Tehran, the students who had started their protest against suppression in universities asked for release of detained students and ending to summon student activist.
The angry students broke the southern gate of the Kouye Daneshgah and set fire at guard’s post in front of it. Then, using stick and stone, they clashed with the Special Guard suppressive forces and threw Molotov cocktails at them. The criminal agents of the Special Guard forces brutally attacked the students and beat them with club. They tried to impose a martial law in the university. Many of the people were witness to the brave move of the students through windows and roofs and a number of them tried to join the students, but the SSF agents prevented them brutally.
