The Senate could take additional votes on the Iran nuclear deal said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) as Democrats blocked a resolution of disapproval on Thursday.
“We’re still working on what they will be, but there’s going to be a number of additional votes next week,” he said in response to a question about whether the Senate could take up a resolution approving the agreement.
Congress has until Sept. 17 to pass legislation on the international accord, which would lift sanctions on Iran in exchange for limits on its nuclear program.
