The Iranian regime’s sham Majlis (parliament) elections will be held in 5 months, and the internal disputes and gridlock between Khamenei and Ahmadinejad’s factions over Majlis seats is already heating up.
Under Khamenei’s orders, a three-man committee lead by Velayati – Khamenei’s main advisor – has been appointed to coordinate this factions’ activities in the sham Majlis elections, and prepare the grounds to eliminate Ahmadinejad’s men. The two other members of this committee are former Majlis speaker Hadad Adel and Habibollah Asgar Olladi, head of the notorious Motalefe ring loyal to the velayat-e faqih.
Of course, Ahmadinejad’s inner circle has also begun preparations to take advantage of the resources in the Interior Ministry and governorates that are controlled by his cabinet. One plan is to manipulate the result of vote boxes in order to change the outcome in their favor
