Iraqi Kurdistan villages are pounded by artillery fire and aerial attacks by the Iranian regime and Turkey under the pretext of pursuing PKK and PJAK group members, the Iraqi al-Sabah daily reported Monday. Turkish warplanes reinitiated their attacks on Sunday against Iraqi Kurdistan border villages in the north.
Coinciding with these attacks, Iraqi Kurdistan parliament speaker Kamal Kirkuki held talks with US Congressmen on the consequences of such measures. These talks included a meeting with the chairman of the US House Homeland Security Commission on the results of artillery shelling against the Iraqi Kurdistan region by the Iranian regime and Turkey.
