Iranian regime forces continue to occupy areas of Iraqi Kurdistan

Asharqiya TV, July 30, 2010 – Iranian regime forces continue to occupy areas of Iraqi soil in the Kurdistan region of “Kurdu” Mountain and have recently strengthened their border posts, Kurdistan regional government officials said.
Iranian regime forces have once again taken control of border posts and watchtowers and have reinforced these positions with new forces to protect the border, Al-Sharqia TV reported citing Haj-Omran region’s border director Karvan Aref.
“The number of families homeless due to the Iranian regime’s shellings of Qandil Mountain villages is estimated at around 850,” Asharqiya added.
