Iran: young man facing imminent execution

The Iranian regime’s so-called supreme court has upheld the death sentence of a young man by the name of Barzan Nassrollah. It is said the court case of this young man from the city of Sanandaj, western Iran, has been sent to the execution branch of Iran’s judiciary.
Barzan Nassrollah was arrested on May 28th, 2010 in Sanandaj while he was a junior in high school at the time. He was sentenced to death on “moharebe” charges (enmity against God) in a court chaired by judge Moghise.
Nassrollah was born in 1992 and 17 years and 5 months old at the time of his arrest.
“They took a laptop from him and sometime later they condemned him on moharebe charges. He hadn’t killed anyone, nor was he affiliated to any group nor did he possess a weapon,” his father said in an interview.
It is worth noting that Barzan Nassrolalh is currently held in ward 4 of hall 10 in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran. He is in his fifth year in jail.
