Iran: workers, drivers stage protests in Tabriz, West Islamabad & Kerman

During the past few days three cities in Iran witnessed numerous labor protest rallies.
Tabriz – Workers of the Batex Factory in East Azerbaijan rallied outside the regime’s governorate office and protested not receiving their salaries for the past 6 months. Protesters said their wages are already below the poverty line and they cannot make ends meet for their families.
A group of drivers in Tabriz also protested fines and exploitation by the regime’s agents. This rally was held outside a police station in Tabriz’s Abresan district.
West Islamabad – On Tuesday, July 14th service workers in this city’s Khomeini Hospital staged a rally and protested being suddenly expelled from work.
Kerman – On Wednesday, July 15th workers of the Araks Factory protested not being paid for the past 5 months. They held their rally outside the regime’s governorate office. This was the second rally staged by these workers this week and they have said they will not return to work unless they receive their due paychecks.
