Iran: two women fired from government jobs

Asma Cheshme Kabudi, the principal of a girls’ school in the town of Kamiyaran, was expelled and exiled to another province after 15 years working at a school. The charges raised against her were ‘provoking students and teachers aimed at creating religious divide and distributing illegal pamphlets, membership and activities in Quran schools, opposing religious ceremonies and disrupting high school programs’.
In other developments Asra Gavili, one of the personnel in a Kamiyaran hospital was expelled from work after working for three years in this facility. The charge raised against her was membership in a Quran school. (Kordpa – July 17, 2014)
