Iran to transit electricity to Assad regime through Iraq

While the Iranian people are struggling with high prices and electricity shortages, the clerical regime intends to provide electricity for the Syrian dictatorship and its elements in Lebanon.
“In the near future, a part of the exported electricity will be sent to Syrian and Lebanon through Iraq”, said Iran’s Minister of Energy according to the Asr Iran News Agency.
“The quantity of the Islamic republic of Iran’s electricity export to Iraq is currently 1300 megawatts, 200 of which is scheduled to be transited to Syria; given that Syria and Lebanon do not have borderlines with Iran, they will receive the electricity through Iraq”, he added.
The clerical regime’s generosity to the Assad regime comes at a time when Iran’s southern city of Abadan – with temperatures reaching up to 60 degrees Celsius – is suffering from severe power shortages.
