The Oil Industry University students in the southern cities of Ahwaz and Abadan entered the 9th day of strike and protest. The striking students continue to sleep outside their dorms at nights to mark their complaints.
Ahwaz and Abadan Oil Industry Universities are exclusively built and prepared for the Iranian oil industry and the students who graduate in this filed would have to basically hired by this industry. But in recent weeks the industry authorities have told the student that they are unable to hire them after they have graduated, leaving them obsolete.
This has caused a added burden on the students prompting them to protest asking if they cannot find jobs in the oil industry, then what is the use for completing their study.
