The Revolutionary Guards arrested two teachers’ rights activists by the names of Mohammad Reza Nik Nezhad and Mehd Bahluli in Tehran on Monday evening, August 31st.
This repressive measure, reflecting the IRGC’s fear of popular protests, came after teachers made a call on nationwide protests on October 5th marking World Teachers Day. On this day teachers across Iran intend to emphasize on their rightful demands to improve their living conditions.
