The vicious crackdown of Tabriz tile workers has raised anger among the labor community across the city, reports indicate.
Tabriz tile workers staged a rally last week outside the governor’s office in Tabriz, protesting not receiving their salaries for over two years. They were chanting against the regime’s inaction in this regard.
However, regime agents attacked the protesting workers with batons and sprays. This incident raised much anger in Tabriz’s public opinion, especially among labor circles, leading to some regime officials being forced to enter the scene to decrease the people’s anger and abhorrence.
It worth noting the Tabriz tile company has over 220 workers and to this day they haven’t received their paychecks for at least 30 months. Each of these workers is demanding an average 150 million rials.
