A large number of Zayandehrood River District farmers staged a protest rally alongside Zayandehrood Dam demanding the destruction of the dam and directing the river water to their farm lands. The rally sparked clashes as security forces intervened. Farmers said the regime suppressive agents barbarically attacked and arrested a number of youth who were participating in the rally taking them to the prison. Saman farmers were carrying placards denouncing and blaming the irresponsibility of the regime authorities. This rally was held on Wednesday Jan. 29th.
