“If Ahmadinejad rides a taxi cab for an hour and brings up the issues of economy, livelihood, politics and the government, then he will hear things with his own ears that he’s not heard in official meetings and ceremonies”, reported the state-run Asr-e Iran Daily, while admitting to the social antipathy towards the regime.
“If only Ahmadinejad were to visits a hospital and sees the expenses of treatment for a simple patient, which are back-breaking, and how money is being pulled out the people’s pockets, openly and under the table, and the tragedies that are unfolding in the country’s medical sector”, the state-run newspaper added.
