Workers of a sugar cube factory in the city of Shahr-e Kord in south-central Iran have not received their paychecks for the past two months. In protest, they rallied outside this factory demanding their delayed wages. These workers, numbering over 130, on Saturday, July 21st, in their rally outside this factory called on the factory chief to deposit their paychecks for them to return to work. One worker said this is the first time their paychecks have been delayed but pressures are so high they need each month’s salary just to make ends meet.
