Iran: Retired workers, laborers protest in two major Iran cities

A protest rally held was held on Thursday, March 3rd by workers of the Tabriz Auto Factory demanding their delayed paychecks and protesting the privatization of this company.
This factory in Tabriz, northwest Iran, is facing major financial problems and has not paid its workers’ salaries for a few months now. Only a few weeks are left to the Iranian calendar New Year and these workers are very worried about not receiving their wages, pensions and bonuses.

In the city of Isfahan retired steel mill workers rallied outside the governorate office on Thursday, May 3rd, protesting officials’ refusal to provide their pensions.
