A group of people protesting the death sentence issued for minority religious group leader Mohammad Ali Taheri rallied in a district in southern Tehran demanding this verdict be suspended.
Mohammad Ali Taheri, currently detained in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, has been on hunger strike for 18 days.
