
Following the Fire Festival Celebrations in dozens of major cities in Iran, people and youth defied the government ban on using fireworks in the ceremonies and purred in to the streets. In Keshavarz Blvd in Tehran, the youth hurled firecrackers and squibs at the police and in front of the Bank causing minor damages to the bank building.
In Tehran’s Vali-asr Blvd, the youth burnt tires and shout anti regime slogans. The sound of explosions caused by firecrackers filled the air to the joy of many young boys and girls.
