A number of residents of Bandar Abbas protesting against extra additives being added to the milk products by milk companies gathered to show their frustration after their efforts to get some binding response from government offices were proved futile. The government authorities, who became afraid that the protest would spread, collected all those defected milk products from the shelves.
The milk company owners, who enjoy the support of government establishment, add new preservatives to prolong the life of the product, but this new additive has made people, especially children who are the most vulnerable sick.
In a similar protest, people gathered to protest the rotten water and soft drink packaging and government inaction in dealing with this problem. This protest led to the shutdown of the company out of fear of an outbreak of unrest.
