
A number of home buyer applicants gathered on Dec 2nd inside the Iranian parliament building to protest delay in receiving their prepaid homes. They were also carrying banners that read “why all settlements and home deliveries are stopped?”
The loud sound of protest filled the parliament chamber and disrupted the parliament discussion. One of the banners had slogans written against the transport minister of Rouhani’s government. More than %50 of those participated in the protest sit-in were women.
A female protestor said: “We registered in this project, we paid $7000 for a down payment to Mehr – Pardis settlement project, but now they suddenly say you should pay another $3000. Where are we going to get this money?
