Reports from inside Iran indicate that at late night hours of Monday, August 3 a total of 60 prisoners convicted of ordinary charges were transferred to Greater Tehran Central Prison. This prison is located in the Fashfaviye area. The dire conditions in this facility has raised many protests by the prisoners. Water shortages, lack of adequate room, intense heat during the day and being deprived of minimum hygiene needs are just some of the reasons the prisoners are protesting. (NCRI – August 8, 2015)
