
Tehran – On July 9th when a group of Bassij agents and State Security Force members entered Azadi Cinema in the middle of the day, demanded the center to close down and began forcing people out of the facility, those people watching the film began protesting all in one voice and even took their protest into the adjacent streets. The regime’s agents, fearing the spread of this protest, began fleeing the scene and stopped any effort to close down the cinema.
On July 9th and 10th reports from the cities of Kermanshah, Paveh, Kangavar and Mahidasht indicate major clashes exploded between the people and the regime’s repressive agents. Bassij and State Security Force agents, who were bothering people under the bogus pretext of breaking fast during the month of Ramadan, received major beatings in many such cases. Major clashes between regime agents and the youth erupted, leaving many of the security forces beaten and also numerous youths arrested.
