Iran: more than 3000 homeless women in Tehran

According to a shocking statistic by an official in Tehran’s city council more than 3000 homeless women live in the capital alone. Hafezi by announcing this appalling figure said; Tehran’s records show that there are about 15,000 homeless people living on the streets of Tehran which at least 3000 of them are women making them about 20% of the total homeless people. These women don’t even have their basic necessities including bath. All bathrooms in the city belong to men. This exacerbates their vulnerability especially during winter cold.
