An inmate in Tabriz Central Prison, northwest Iran, lost his life due to lack of medical care, according to incoming reports.
Mohammad Esalati was held in ward 12 of this prison and he went to the clinic complaining of severe chest pains and asking for medical care. However, the ward’s doctor, by the name of Sharafi, declared the prisoner is faking his illness.
He only gave Esalati some pills and prevented him from being transferred to the clinic. Eyewitnesses say Esalati lost his life on the midnight of that very day.
