Workers of the Kisoun Company are continuing their strike after the 20th consecutive day. This company has a contract with the metro project in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahwaz. Based on recent reports, this strike started on August 27th with the workers demanding 6 months of delayed salaries.
“The director general of the Kisoun Company announced he would pay 2 months of the workers delayed wages by Saturday, September 3rd,” a state-run media outlet wrote. “However, this promise was never fulfilled and that is why the workers remain on strike.”
