Iran: increasing labor protests reported from Tehran & Isfahan

Workers of the Zagros Steel Mill Company of Kurdistan rallied on Saturday, August 9th, in Tehran outside the parliament. The workers protested the expulsion of 35 of their colleagues and first started their rally outside the regime’s Labor Ministry. They then went on to continue their protests outside the Majlis (parliament).


Isfahan
Based on Iran protests reports received from inside the country over 40 stonecutting factories in Isfahan have been on strike for the two weeks protesting tax extortions. This strike continued on Saturday, August 9th.


Isfahan
Gold retailers of this city were still on strike on Saturday, August 9th, protesting tax extortions. They joined the strike already in place by the textile retailers.
