According to a report from Iran’s Tabnak News Agency, the Chairman of the Iranian Majlis fact finding mission, who had traveled to Abadan to investigate on the explosion at the city’s newly opened refinery, by pointing out to the negligence in managing and the insistence on opening the petroleum refinery facility ahead of schedule, said that he will comprehensively investigate the bitter explosion of the third phase of the refinery. “The President of the Investigation Organization acknowledged the negligence and lack of programming in the untimely opening of this project”, Kaabi said.
The third phase of the Abadan Petroleum Refinery exploded upon its opening by Ahmadinejad and a number were killed and injured.
Abdullah Kaabi, Chairman of the Iranian Majlis fact finding mission, pointed out to the emphasis of Larijani to comprehensively investigate the incident at the Abadan Refinery and said that he will investigate the scope of this incident and present the report to Majlis.
