Following a series of terrorist attacks and hostage takings in France and the world condemnation of these attacks, a group of political prisoners in Gohardash prison, in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran issued a statement strongly condemning these terrorist attacks and expressing solidarity and sympathy with the French people and the families of the victims.
They said “We condemn radical fundamentalists waging war on innocent civilians. The war of terrorists against democratic values and civilians has stretched from the Middle East all the way to Paris streets and against French citizens. The menacing phenomenon of terrorism started 35 years ago when the mullahs in Iran took over the country. Bombings, suicide explosions and other means of terrorism in Lebanon, Saudi Arabi, Argentina and other countries and killings of opposition figures, intellectuals, activists and other human rights defenders in every corner of the world, especially in Europe is a well-known style of state terrorism and state fundamentalism.”
