Iran has once again distanced Quds Force chief Qassem Suleimani from the spotlight following numerous defeats suffered in Yemen and Iraq, al-Arabiya al-Hadath TV reported on Tuesday, September 8th.
Operation Decisive Storm and the miscalculations of Qassem Suleimani in the attack launched by the Arab military coalition against Houthi militants to end their coup d’état and returning the legitimate government of Yemen back to Sana’a, have been one of the most significant elements of his defeats, al-Arabiya al-Hadath TV added.
Iran attempted to depict him as a very strong individual and the symbol of its military intervention in the region… this was a very quickly launched attempt, ending in much haste.
The UK-based Economist magazine believes the reason behind this absence is Qassem Suleimani’s failure, which has crushed his image as a very diligent and mobile military commander.
