Iran: angry demonstration by residents of Isfahan, anti-government slogans against acid attack by government backed mobs

Brave residents of Isfahan, central Iran which has been the scene of brutal acid attack on young women and girls in recent days, gathered in front of the justice department expressing their anger and dismay at the brutal and cruel acid attack by the regime’s organized mobs and Basij militants against young women and girls in the city. They chanted anti-government slogans.
Their call for the people to take part in today’s demonstration was widely announced days earlier on social networks and efforts and intimidations by the security agents and other government agencies could not stop the people from taking part in today’s demonstration.
State security forces surrounded the gathering out of fear of the spread of this protest act.
People were chanting: “Security, freedom is our right”, “shame on the scandalous parliament”, “acid attackers are government paid mobs, we have no security” and “the acid attackers on women are scums worse than Daesh (ISIS)”.
According to the latest reports, the number of acid attack victims in Isfahan alone has reached 15 people.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the Iranian Resistance on Oct. 18th expressed her deep frustration and dismay at this heinous and shocking crime perpetrated by the regime backed mobs and called on the brave Iranian youth to widen their protests against this barbaric act on the pretext of so called ’mal-veiling’.
