The Iranian regime’s parliament adopted the suppressive bill of the so called “Enjoin Virtue and Prohibit Vice”. According to this bill, groups in charge of this virtue must from now be supported by all governmental branches and no person or government entity has authority or jurisdiction to prevent these groups from carrying out their tasks. There is punishment for those who try to impede or block these groups from carrying out their tasks.
The paramilitary Basiej has been tasked to organize and assemble recruits for this division.
Ratification of such repressive measure is undoubtedly to face the growing dissent among the youth and to contain the growing unrest amongst the people in the society.
