Ahmadinejad’s first deputy Mohammd Reza Rahimi admitted to the regime’s internal and international crisis saying, “Conditions is the country are not good, and the sanctions have toughened the situation for us. Of course the country’s domestic problems go further”. “They do not buy our oil, of course we are busy trying to sell our oil, yet the amount is little. And when we do sell the oil, they do not make the payment on time. There were times when all that was needed to transfer a money order was a telegram and a telephone call from a bank in a neighboring country. However, today we are forced to refer to different banks to skirt the sanctions.”
Pointing out to the regime’s internal crisis, Rahimi said that “of course our problems within are a lot more than the international pressures. This is to a point that we have now been halted.”
