Officials in Urumieh Central Prison, located in northwestern Iran, have begun transferring dangerous prisoners into Ward 12 of this facility, formerly allocated to political prisoners.
The mullahs’ henchmen have through these measures made conditions intolerable for the political prisoners. These repressive actions are taking place after five political prisoners in this ward were transferred to the Urumieh Intelligence Office and had new criminal cases prepared against them on charges of making contact with the media and the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran.
