According to latest received reports from Zahedan (southeastern Iranian city), several hundred people were arrested during widespread clashes between people and the State Security Forces (SSF) on Monday.

These confrontations took place on Monday in protest against attempts by the clerical regime’s Ministry of Intelligence (MIOS) to foment strife between Shiite and Sunnis. The angry people set fire to a number of the SSF vehicles and blocked the streets. The suppressive forces opened fire at the people.
