Following former Egyptian Army chief Abdul-Fattah al-Sisi’s firm victory in the recent Egyptian presidential elections, attention is being diverted to Egypt’s future in regional cooperation to confront threats from Iran.
“Egypt and Saudi Arabia can confront regional threats such as Muslim Brotherhood and foreign threats such as Iran and its supporters in the region,” Mohamed Zulgha, a member of the Syrian National Council said in this regard.
