Devastating quake in northeastern Iran

A 5.5 Richter earthquake shook regions of Iran’s Southern Khorasan Province, located in the country’s northeastern regions. This quake rocked the region at 8:38 pm Tuesday night, with preliminary reports indicating at least 8 killed and many more wounded. 5 of those killed were all from one family, and 12 of the injured in this quake are in severe conditions.
At least 16 villages have suffered 80% destruction and five have been completely leveled. The mullahs’ regime has refused to provide exact numbers, saying only 6 and may 8 have died with just 23 others being injured in this catastrophe.
Reports also indicate over 2,000 livestock have perished. The lack of medical supplies and the dead livestock have raised serious hygiene concerns for the quake victims of the region.
The mullahs’ regime has still refused to provide detailed reports of the dead and injured, and damages inflicted to the towns and villages.
