
Reports placed on the Internet indicate the International Committee Against Executions in the western Iranian city of Marivan in Kurdistan Province announced a strike from 3:00 pm on Saturday aimed at saving the lives of two Kurdish political prisoners from execution.
According to these reports the city of Marivan has come to a standstill and stores across the city are closed. People of Marivan went on strike despite threats and efforts by the regime’s repressive forces.
According to these reports indicated stores, complexes and various other centers, in addition to the bazaar in Jomhouri Avenue, the Industrial City district, Resalat Boulevard and Jihad Square are all closed.
