US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel stipulated in recent remarks that the US will do everything it can to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
During his Middle East trip Hagel is visiting Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel. In most of his meetings and press conferences he has been reassuring US allies in the region that Washington will not Iran obtain nuclear weapons.
