China’s disregard on contracts to expand mullahs’ oil fields

The Iranian regime has expressed concerns regarding China’s disregard in implementing its oil field expansion contracts.
The Mehr news agency (affiliated to the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence) reported: “Despite the fact contracts worth $40 billion to expand Iran’s numerous oil and gas fields have been devoted to various Chinese firms, these companies have delayed their work and actually prepared the grounds for these projects to not provide any of the estimated billions of dollars in profits.”
“The Chinese firms have yet to start any of the projects,” Mehr added. “Despite the many delays in expanding Iran’s oil and gas projects, these firms are very active in half of Iraq’s oil tenders.”
It is worth noting that US media outlets had reported on China’s disregard in carrying out its oil projects with the Iranian regime, adding such delays were due to pressures enforced by the US under the framework of international sanctions on Tehran.
