Campaign to support Iran’s imprisoned mothers begins work

Under an initiative launched by civil, culture and political activists the campaign to support imprisoned mothers has begun its work. This campaign began its activities under the banner “Alongside Imprisoned Mothers”.
One of the main reasons behind the launching of this campaign was Ms. Nargis Mohammadi’s recent letter on the pains and suffering endured by mothers in the Iranian regime’s prisons.
A number of civil, cultural and political activists wrote about this campaign: “Any human being, including a mother, has the right to civil activities. He/she must be free in their decision. Imprisoned mothers have sacrificed their own freedoms to guarantee the social freedoms, security and welfare of their children and others alike. Now, why are these mothers deprived of their motherly rights?  Together we call for the respect of imprisoned mothers’ rights.”
Following this report, an account was launched on Facebook by the name of “Campaign in Support of Imprisoned Mothers” to post news reports about this campaign.
