Bahrain expels Iran charge d’affaires

The Bahrain government has summoned its ambassador from Tehran and expelled Iran’s charge d’affaires from Manama, giving him 72 hours to leave the country, Reuters reported.
Bahrain expelled Mohammad Reza Babaie from Manama and described him as an unwanted element.
The Bahrain Foreign Ministry issued a statement this decision followed Iran’s illegal and immoral meddling in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
Bahraini authorities said Wednesday they had seized 1.5 tons of explosives at a suspected militant hide-out south of the capital, Manama.
