Amnesty Warns on Execution of Youths in Iran

The Amnesty International in a statement called for a death sentence annulment of an Iranian youth, Amirkabir Iranian students’ website reported on Mar. 8, 2008.

The statement says: “the death sentence for Behnam Zarei, the 18 years old youth, who was 15 at the time of committing the crime, was issued by Iranian judiciary.”

The Amnesty International indicated Iran is one of six countries in the world which executes the underage youths. During last four years the number of youths executed in Iran has been more than the number of youths executed around the world
