Ahmadinejad’s trip to Iraq postponed: official admits

The clerical regime’s ambassador to Iraq admitted to the postponement of Ahmadinejad’s trip to Iraq following a wave of social and political protests, saying “Due to reasons, this trip has been postponed and we hope it will take place in December”.
Danaifar, Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, reacted to the forceful landing of the regime’s airplane in Baghdad under US pressure, claiming that this was an act contrary to good neighborliness.
The IRGC affiliated news agency wrote: Danaifar, while saying that we expressed our utmost concern and protest to the Iraqis in this regard, underscored that “this act is contrary to good neighborliness and Iran’s deep relations with Iraq and the cooperation MOUs signed, and we hope that it doesn’t happen again”.
