In his remarks against Khamenei’s faction, Ahmadinejad revealed new aspects of corruption in Iran under the mullahs’ rule, the state-run Tabnak website reported.
“300 people have placed 60% of the country’s money in their own pockets and will not return it,” he said referring to his government rivals.
“There are a number of people in the country who only think about themselves and disrupt everything. There are also those in the government that defend these people. Why shouldn’t we tell them to give back that money?” he asked during his speech in Khorasan, eastern Iran.
“Some people in organizations and other places adopt laws to prevent us from getting anywhere near these people who have received loans. This question comes to mind that why shouldn’t we demand back these loans, while some selfish people are attempting to freeze the country’s money,” he added.
