
At least a dozen tremors jolted parts of south-east Iran on Sunday, state media reported.
The biggest of the tremors measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck near the city of Birjand, South Khorrasan Province, at approximately 07.20 a.m. local time (03.50 GMT), the government-run news agency Mehr said.
These earthquakes damaged 20-80 percent of 20 percent of buildings of the region.
The official news agency IRNA said that there were at least 11 aftershocks.
